day thirty-six: it mocks me

Last night I pinned my trouser mock-up together. Tonight I basted it together. I built in REALLY BIG seam allowances for the crotch pieces, and yet basted with like a 1/2” seam allowance. The result is… roomy. Ample. One might even say capacious.

Honestly, I can’t wait to take these in.

later… Well, they need adjustment. The leg seam is twisting around to the front of the leg, the inner leg gusset is the wrong shape (needs to be more of a football and less of a diamond), and the front needs to be… different. Not sure how; I’ll need a mirror for that, but different.

No pictures tonight. My evening has been trying, and self-medicating with Twizzlers was not as useful as one could hope.
