day seventy-one: regroup

Tonight I attended my kingdom’s recognition recording session for the martial orders (we pre-record the conversation between the royalty and the recipient, then cut it into a live video once a month), and spun up some thread while it went on. That was it (and some more translation). I needed a quiet evening to just chill and think, because a lot of my projects really spend a lot of time in my head before they make it onto the cutting table.

Tomorrow I’ll design my cutting layout and maybe even cut out my tunic. I’m going with something I already know how to do, because I can’t cope with any more patterning right now.

So this is a Oui yogurt pot into which I put all the snips and bits of thread and stuff from my pants. I love it. I just wanted to tell you, because pictures of it have featured prominently in the last six weeks or so. It makes me happy on so many levels.

Hopefully tomorrow, I’ll start a new pot. In the meantime, sleeps. Night, y’all.
