day sixteen: improv

So I took a moment tonight to tidy up, because I wanted to cut out my sleeves. Up till now, I’ve used a diagram and list of measurements on a bit of paper.

I can’t find the paper.

You know what, though? They’re just tubes to stick my arms through. I’ve made plenty of sleeves with a flat sleeve head just like this; I’ll make the minor adjustments needed for this shirt and move on with my day. Now that I’m past the fixation seams and the neckline, the rest is easy by comparison.

Onward!

later…

So that could have gone better. But it’s not that bad. I just cut pieces that I didn’t need, which again is no big deal, but as I was pulling threads and cutting through the gap left, took time I would have rather not spent. Whatever.

All the pieces are done and I have some stitching done. Hopefully I’ll get more done tomorrow. Hopefully, the other people in the neighborhood will let me sleep in a bit.

Night, y’all.
