here we go

I’ve spent the evening of Sept 30 finishing up tidying my sewing room so that I can start my project on October 1st. I think it’s gone pretty well, and I have access to the surface of my cutting table for the first time in ages.

I really wish I had like two more weeks, though, so that I could rearrange the storage. I have a set of wire shelves in my bedroom that need to come downstairs to the sewing room to take the place of the bureau that’s there now. That extra storage would let me get a lot of stuff up off the floor and make it easier to see and to access. Maybe I’ll have time during the competition.

I put some press and stick ruler tape down on the edge of my sewing table.

I used to have some measurements marked on the edge with Sharpie marker, but I think that this will be somewhat more accurate.

Time for bed. Still some picking up and planning to do before I can put shears to fabric, and I guess my employer wants some of my time, too.
