day forty-six: this is getting a bit tedious for me too
I did more spinning, this time with the Manx fiber. I also checked the BFL I put to soak in the buckthorn, and it's still a golden beige. It's back in the dye, because why not.
I'm going to back off on my obsession with getting red from buckthorn. We’re using glossy buckthorn rather than alder buckthorn, and it might have other properties. It's getting cold for these experiments, and I just need to wait for next year. Which is fine; I have research to do - after I finish C3.
Tomorrow I'll ply the Manx I spun today and yesterday, and steam it to set the twist, and I can start sewing my trousers together. I'm really excited to get going on that part. It feels like an age since I picked up a needle to sew wool, and I miss it.
Time for bed now, though. Tomorrow is another day of toil before I get to have fun. Night, y'all.
